HERNAN URREGO
ELDER
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas to Colombian immigrants. As a child, I grew up in Christian environments, having attended a Pentecostal elementary school, a Baptist middle school and a Catholic high school but never fully understood what it meant to live a life as a disciple of Jesus. When I was a junior in High School, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior due to the faithful witness of my stepbrother.
A few years later, I met my beautiful wife at Duke University, and we got married. In 2013, our growing family moved to Atlanta to finish my training at Emory University. Although my fellowship was only supposed to keep us here for one year, God, in His sovereignty allowed us to not only find a job here but a church family at Blueprint Church.
I am honored to serve the church as a leader knowing that the responsibility of leading others is a beautiful yet serious responsibility. I am thankful that Blueprint, through its doctrine, DNA, leaders and members strive to live out the great commission of our Lord. I pray that we as a church can be the answer to prayer of Matthew 9:38 "Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."
