1 Peter 5:1-4 //  So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;t not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.As shepherds and overseers of a local church, elders are entrusted with protecting, leading, equipping, and caring for the corporate church body and her individual members. We have committed to the concept of team leadership. Our elders work together to steward the church body in all areas. Even the weekly teaching at Sunday Service is a shared responsibility between 3 of our elders, as teaching pastors.  All of our elders are engaged in Missional Communities and readily accessible to the church body for guidance, counseling and prayer.

We also have committed to raising up new leaders as well. Our internship program focuses on giving members who desire to go into full-time ministry the opportunity to work alongside the elders while getting exposure to practical ministry experience. Though focused on the experience of ministry, our interns are also equipped through academic study as well. Interns are required to be a part of Imprint, a 10 month, cohort-based, discipleship progrm offered at Blueprint.

Though our church model is based on simplicity, there is also a need to have other staff members employed at the church. Our staff members manage the day to day operations of the church, freeing our elders up to be more fully devoted to the study of scripture and prayer.
